I agree, it is just different today. One of my fondest memories is playing Secret of Mana with my best mate, he would stay over for like a week and we would just play it all week. Such good times.
I think online gaming has really changed things, some times I think it's for the better, then other times I get turned off (tweens screaming racist remarks will usually do that to me).

I think these initiatives are great, there are so many things games can encourage in the classroom, not to mention the important factor of making learning FUN.

I could say Lost Odyssey is a better quality game than Killzone 2 and I would not be wrong, because for me, it is.
